It was my favorite part of the evening! Well, one of them. I desperately wanted to meet him last night; but, alas, he disappeared into the night.
At some point during the ceremony, during a commercial break, I saw Harry and his daughter chatting with Kelli and her hubby. It was adorable. I love that they so clearly have found a creative partnership with each other. I love that he introduced her show's performance. I love that he worked on her album. I love that she sang on the Thou Shalt Not recording that came with The Pajama Game. In my mind, they are both harboring a secret love for one another that cannot be spoken. Their scenes in Pajama Game were the definition of sexual tension. You don't realize how much other people are faking chemistry and attraction on stage until you see it for real.
Here is my friend Harry with his daughter last night. You can't see in this picture, but his daughter is wearing sneakers. Which I kind of love. I love that she is completely dressing her age and isn't wearing an evening gown or something.
